Dear Ones,
We pray this reaches you and finds you well. The following is a 23 minute conversation with the late Francis and Edith Schaefer concerning faith and trust amidst suffering.
Since our last newsletter, we have been having doctor visits and tests and appointments for future tests regarding the heart and blood and Thyroids. I had for some time, years in fact , experiencing increasing fatigue which I felt was due to just age, some stress, etc, It turns out I have severe hypothyroidism which requires hormone replacement…which I am taking now. I had hit a crisis of not being able to keep going with great fatigue, brain fatigue and am now taking recovery precautions.. This means that I am not able to accompany Gonzalo on his outreach..at least not the long day trips to the city and back for now. I have been able to minister in the neighborhood however, resulting in a neighbor asking Jesus to come into his heart after a friendly conversation about and with, his 3 pet cats!. As we go on walks around the neighborhood we have given out tracts and stopped to talk with people.
One morning we were able to visit the cancer outpatient treatment hospital together. Having experienced the loss of a son in his childhood to leukemia, I had for some time wanted to pray for the healing and salvation of those suffering from cancer and even those who have lost a loved one with this sickness and whom the Lord put in our path:
