Dear ones,
We pray you had a blessed Easter season. For many it is springtime..so significant..new life..as Jesus gave us His ..a new resurrected life..Old things have passed away and all becomes new (2 Corinthians 5 v 17). It is more than just a New Year promise we make at the beginning of each year..which is so easily broken and forgotten. Easter is an opportunity to begin a new soul life, inviting the risen Christ to abide within…and to make our hearts His abode..
Good Friday and indeed all Easter weekend is a busy time for vendors, especially in the market….So we took advantage of this opportunity to do some outreach amongst the market people and shoppers. The Good Friday meal is a very important traditional one..FANESCA….a soup with multiple grains and fish..This meal is eaten with family…The Catholics are very faithful with the Easter weekend practices of honouring the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
