Dear ones,
We hope this bit of good news will help take the mind off the global bad news for a while!
Here are some great quotes from Corrie Ten Boom:
“If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. If you look at God you’ll be at rest”.
“Forgiveness is the key which unlocks the door of resentment and the handcuffs of hatred”.
She sure is an example of rising above very difficult circumstances being imprisoned in Ravensbrück concentration camp where her sister Betsie died.

- IT WAS THE DAY FOR THE REMEMBRANCE OF THE DEAD HERE. SO ALL SORTS OF FESTIVITIES , STRANGE APPAREL ALONG WITH MUSIC AND TREATS SOLD TO EAT, PERFORMED AND DISPLAYED IN THE LOCAL SQUARES.
In such 3rd world countries, much opportunity for sales and business is acted upon when there are certain religious or otherwise days in the year….such was this time of outreach so we took advantage of there being a multitude on the streets..I have felt sometimes a somewhat heavy heart living amongst so much need and seeing every time I step out onto the streets the tremendous effort to make a living, to have something to eat, of a large sector of the population. A high school or even university graduate is often unemployed and needing to resort to selling candy or other cheap goods that one can carry around on the streets and on buses. There are quite a few mothers with children begging. We have to be sure we have change or some food we have just bought to be able to help.. It all makes us so thankful for the Lord’s supply for us to pay for rent , other bills and food..thanks to your prayers and offerings,
a great hug to you all,
Gonzalo and Jenny
