I don’t necessarily believe God, the Creator of the universe, has favorites. But, let’s just say, we suppose He did have favorites, I believe His favorite color would be gold, because of five different observations or creations.

One: Amber. Amber is a golden color and is made of tree resin. There were some fossils that were insects that had been caught in amber, as well as air caught in amber that was used for experiments. It was a nice golden cover that lasted for a very long time. There were samples of air bubbles encapsulated in amber that were used as a backdrop for evaluation of oxygen content in the air from years past, giving information on pre-Flood conditions. The air was much richer in oxygen before the Flood – there was reportedly 21 to 30 percent more oxygen in those times compared to the oxygen content of today.
Two: Gold. Gold is the only element that we know that only seems to get better with time. It doesn’t decay, rust, and has a vast number of uses. It’s used in electronics and a lot of technology that people use today, as well as in jewelry and as a currency, and is extremely versatile. Besides the gold-colored amber mentioned earlier, I believe God likes the element of gold itself for its many uses and value.

Three: Honey. Honey is one of the only foods that doesn’t go bad or spoil. Honey also has a golden color of sorts and is manufactured by bees, one of the smallest and hardworking insects God’s given us. It’s highly nutritious, and as far as I know, it doesn’t rot, and it doesn’t spoil. It can also be liquid or crystalline, in another of its forms. It’s very tasty, and very healthy. It’s a purgative for the blood also, and gives a lot of energy.

Four: God’s Angels. Most of them are described in the Bible as being bronze or brazen, which seems to be a kind of golden color.

Five: The Heavenly City described in the Bible will be golden, made of a crystalline gold that is transparent. God will make His Heavenly City golden, according to the Bible.
These are some reasons why I believe if God had a favorite color, it would be gold. What do you think? And what are your reasons for what you think?
